Back to Khalik..

5th day today.... dugaan besar utk family of crews & passengers of MH370.. we were glued to tv screen anticipating for good news.. and we dont even have friends or family members onboard the plane.. what more with those with their child or wife or husband onboard.... i was attracted to what Kapten Norudin, an ex-pilot if MH370 who flied the plane back to Malaysia when Malaysia Airlines bought the plane.. tak henti2 dia menyebut nama Allah.. and how science ends, di situ lah kudrat Allah bermula... what happened is beyond human's ability.... its time for us to be back to Him.. kembali kepada Khalik....

everything happened for a reason... true.. Allah is not testing those who directly involved... He is testing each and everyone of us.. how do we react to the incident... 

Keep on praying for them.... the least we can do...

Water crisis is still ongoing... shah alam sepatutnya dah mula dgn catuan air... so what we did for the last weekend was this...  kumpul air for 2 days utilization...

segala mak nenek tumbler yg ada kupenuhkan... in this hot weather and haze.. i asked lya & mia to drink lots of water... i even put water bottles in front of tv, at bedsides.. so that teringat nak minum bila nampak... i asked lya to drink water everytime the school bell rings when she is at school... biar sampai kembung perut...

Segala mk nenek periuk pun penuh air...

Tong besar kat luar extra utk top up basuh pinggan & siram pokok... there are 3 pails of water and 2 baby bath tubs all filled with water in 2 of the bathrooms... masa2 mcm ni baru lah bersyukur dgn air yg selama ni melimpah2 & macam air terjun....

So far, alhamdulillah air still ada kat rumah.. but i kept saying to the girls and bibik to safe and jimat air.. teringat satu article yg dibaca... ada something yg menghalang turunnya hujan rahmat dr Allah... 

Byknya ujian tanda kita should muhasabah diri...

and kembali kepada-Nya... 

That small purple room updates.

Alo.. dah lama tak update pasal bilik budak kecik  2 orang ni... nope... kitorang belum berjaya pujuk diorg tido bilik sendiri... simply because their room have yet to install aircond. I have gone to buy them one, unfortunately they can only install during weekdays due to org berderet2 pasang aircond in this hot weather....

 So anyway.. kakak love spending time in her room despite takde aircond.. kesian pulak tgk dia berpeluh2 buat homework dlm bilik.. insya allah, soon kakak..cuaca panas mcm skarang, mmg la kesian tgk budak2 yg tak reti duduk diam...

so far, bilik diorg dah jadik camni...

This is their study table.. nothing sophisticated. 2 kerusi tu borong masa pergi ikea...bersepah je.. budak 2 org ni kena train kemas bilik sendiri.. slalu marah bibik kemaskan.. especially meja... i just dont want them to take for granted kerajinan bibik mengemas. They have to be taught in their routine tasks..  

 This is kakak's corner.... the shelves and the rack are supposed to be her book rack.. but since buku standard 1 tak byk mana, we arranged their plush toys in there temporarily.. when the time comes, we need to donate they toys yg tah bape puluh ekor to charity to make way utk buku2 pulak....

This is adik's corner. Tapi sebab dia tak penah ada homework so far, she will only use her side masa temankan kakak buat homework... see.. her side pun penuh ngan toys.....

These are their never-used-beds-since-we-moved-here.... colourful... i have always dreamt of coordinating their room with pinkish princess bed... tapi dedi objected too girly thingy.. haha.. ok la...takyah la pink sgt.... camni pun ok laa....

some updates over the weekend...

 Kakak's 4th swimming class.. for about 2 months she is taught on water confidence only... thats her.. bubbling in the water...  i saw her improved a lont. She can swim for about 3m kot... with 3-4 times breathing rythm... mami pun struggle nak buat 4 kali bubbling in water.. i took advantage learning how to swim too... dgr sipi2 je ape yg teacher ajar....

Thats me with adik and her cousin.. with water supply issues in KL, my anak2 buah ikut swimming skali... kat rumah diorg in ampang, last sunday, setitik air pun takde... pity them.... cepatlah hujan turun ya allah...

And owh.. updates on my poplook blouse... hehe currently in love with them.. i bought haley chiffon blouse in 4 colours..!! Cant decide which colour to buy... so i took 4.. 3 of them delivered.

Dusty pink... or belacan colour as my colleague called it...

Black.... colour utk menyembunyikan kegemukan...

And my favourite... navy.. alemak.. yg ni tak sempat snap gambar berdiri.. hehe... still waiting for teal colour to arrive... 

No food porn this week..  tak sempat snap.. i cooked curry mee, mini burger, buttercake,  and sesame & sunflower seed bread last weekend.. tapi the seeds tak dispensed pulak.. taktau la apesal...  so roti tu jadi seed bread without seeds... erkk??

Our small garden...

Salam... lama nye mokcik tinggalkan blog ni.... The weekly travelling up and down to johor really drained my energy until i went down with high fever... kena beringat la skarang... badan dah tak sekuat dulu... i had to manage my travelling to make it less hectic than before.. simply saying, no more last flight travelling... i will make sure i reach home at least by 9 ++ pm.. so that i am not exhausted to go to work by 7am the next day...

Anyway.. sharing lil update on our home.. with our small garden.. we had transformed our sekangkang kera front garden.. from this....

Into this....

Alhamdulillah... sejuk sket mata memandang... cost penghantaran from sg buloh ke shah alam lagi mahal dari harga rumput & pokok2.. so, sudahnye encik hubby buat sendiri je lah.. with the supervision from my parents who happened to be with us before their umrah trip few weeks ago...

 Kalau banyak lagi space lagi la teringin nak tanam macam2 to make it more colourful... but we just make do with the space yang ada.. and just to make sure we are not overdoing it... maybe kena tambah lagi pokok2 bunga kecik... but for beginner level, alhamdulillah... we are totally satisfy with this...

My kitchen has its own small herbs garden... walau dah tak ada tanah kat belakang rumah, just space utk jalan je.. i still make an effort to have something for the kitchen garden...

Tapi setakat ni, itu je lah pokok2 yang ada.. tu pun mostly import dpd taiping.. yg berjaya disemai ngan tangan sendiri hanyalah pokok kunyit ngan cekur.. yg lain, mama jugak le yg tolong semai..

Pokok pandan tu dah 2nd attempt tanam.. tapi still tanak hidup... takpe.. kita try lagi.... kalau tak idup jugak, import lagi dr taiping... hehehe

 Pokok kesum ngan pokok kunyit sangat la sihat... mintak2 berkekalan la cenggitu...

My kitchen sink also ada pokoknye.. i bought these 3 pokok.. tapi daisy tu dah selamat mati... isk... pokok yg sangat berguna buat masa skarang memang le pokok pudina... selalu guna untuk buat air mango sparkler ala2 kat bubba gump... and the taste is really refreshing...  now tgh effort menyemai dpd batang pokok oudina tu.. ada la 2-3 je anak yg survive.. yg lain sume tak idup pun... hopefully yg survive tu akan idup sihat..

Thats all update from our small garden... hopefully next garden update akan bertambah la pokok2nye... bukan berkurang.. hehehe.

few updates over the weekend... we had this... mia yg tolong mami campak sume menda, whike kakak attended kem solat at her school.. & bibik pergi dating over the weekend... oh by the way.. husband bibibik already here in malaysia... kerja sini dah...
 ada lagi 2 pan piza yg takde sayur.. tapi tak sempat snap gambar... haihhh.. yg takde sayur tu mmg la requested by mia.. or else akan amik masa berrjam2 asingkan sayur2 b4 makan....

 Ni makanan org dlm pantang.... best kan?

 I brought the chicken & pizza over to my in laws.. my sister in law is still in her confinement.. she requested roasted chicken sebab dah tak lalu asyik makan sup ikan, pindang, ikan steam... kalau ikut my family, ayam ni tak la memenuhi kriteria masakan dlm pantang..sbb takut gatal kat luka yg belum fully sembuh... but sebelah my inlaws, ok saja.. so.. masak  je la... roasted chicken la menda paling senang.. just marinate ayam with bawang putih, halia, sos perap ayam, lada hitam, lada putih and olive oil, rosemary, sapu sket honey on the outside.. and campak sume dlm pan... plus sayur2 sukehati.. i put carrot, btg celery, potato, onion, tomato & capsicum...
Sungguh lazat and nasik totally tak laku kalau masak .. puji masakan sendiri.. hehe

These lil mermaids had their 3rd swimming class.. eh.. kakak je yg 3rd times.. adik dropped out.. sbb nampak dia sgt pressure sbb tak dapat buat apa yg teacher ajar... takpe lah.. bagi kakak je dulu.. si mia ni mmg quite pemalu... nampak dia takut2 lagi..  so, masa kakak 3rd lesson, adik swimming ngan mummy aje... while daddy duduk tepi pool sambil study his office work yg he brought home.. (duhhhhh....)

Back to School

Yes, my two cheeky girls are now back in school.
Lya is officially a primary schooler. and Mia.. she's gonna be 5 this year.

I took 5 days off just to send them off to school, and wow... i thought 5 days are long. ekkk...5 days was too short. i love every minute of preparing them, bathing them, cook for them, sending off to school, waited at the schol gate just to make sure the went on the correct van, etc.etc.

These are photos when the were in Nuri Pre-School. See how chubby Mia was.. Now, i can hardly see her chubby cheek anymore, being a picky eater she is now..... Am still looking for the best snacks and meals that can get her to eat more than 3 suap...

 

This is the morning we attend to Kakak's orientation day. Adik insisted to follow though i told her soo many times that there are a lot of taklimat, and her kakak had to sit for another test for her class placement. But she still does not want to be left out at home....

 

See how cheerful Lya was during her orientation. We send her at Sek Keb. Seksyen 9. She was super excited with her new school uniform, new shoes, new bag, from top to toe.

 

 

 parents were allowed to wait at the canteen for the 1st week of school. we taught Kakak how to buy at school canteen. Looking at the price, RM1:50 - nasi kosong with small piece of chicken, orange cordial with lotsa ice, RM1.00. Takyah la beli kat sekolah, kakak... bawak bekal je la hari2.. simpan je duit dalam tabung. I did not totally forbid her to buy. She can buy anything she wants, but not everyday. I still give her RM3.00 every day. I can still remember when i was in standard 1, babah gave me only 40 cents. of course you cant compare. Masa tu kuih baru 10 sen je satu.... now... haihh... again... I'll try to prepare bento for you every day kakak. kalau mummy tak sempat, i will have to ask bibik to fix you something. at least roti pun dah cukup....

 



This is her face on the 3rd day of school after series of screaming and crying and begging... she did not want to go to school just because she had to take the school van, and i cant wait for her at school any more, as i had to attend adik pulak... monyok je.. in the evening, we monitored from far how she took the school van.. She survived.. Alhamdulillah... she followed exactly what we told her that she had to wait inside the school gate until akak van came to pick her up.... she did not go out of the gate at all... until the van came... good girl, kakak....

 

This girl on the other hand, is really excited to go to school. She was reluctant at first, but after she saw her yellow/blue bright colour school, she was excited. We registered her at Genius Aulad TTDI Jaya. Since the branch is new, all furnitures were fresh and nice.. and she loved it. For RM268 per month, it is affordable. Kalau bole nak aje hantar kat R.E.A.L kids for RM900++ per month.. tapi takpe lah...it's just kindergarten.... as long as she's happy with her friends and teachers, i am ok...

 

Since Genius Aulad has a dedicated van for each branch, my worry was not as extreme as Kakak's. Not even one week taking the school van, Mia has made a lot of friends and i saw her really enjoyed her ride. She already remembered few of her friend's name. Being a bubbly girl she is, i know she can make friends fast.

So that's about it... Be good, anak2 mummy... Enjoy your precious moments at school and I do hope you will grow up to be a good muslimah... aminnnn

Dah lama tak makan lala masak serai. kat pasar yg selalu pergi kat johor susah sgt nak jumpa lala. so, since dah start shopping kat pasar shah alam... jumpe lala... lalalala....

 

Sempena minggu kangkung semalaysia, maka saya pun masak kangkung goreng belacan... hehehe...

 

 

Daddy has got her new toy.. bbq set yg bertahun dlm wish list... tapi sudahnye bakar ikan keli jugak yg sedap...

 

 

 

Mummy got my new toy too.. also dah berzaman dlm wish list.... daddy grilled his homemade beef patty, so i made super giant burger bun... tak expect lak naik gebu cenggini... mmg superb la bread maker.. campak2 je dah siap... (org berzaman dah ada, haku, baru nak jakun...)

Welcome 2014

One day before 2014. Life has been hectic.. with work, children going back to school, moving back to KL, etc, etc. No, I am not complaining. I am totally thankful for the rezeki, health, children and husband who always stood by me.

Its just that sometimes i felt totally exhausted. There was one time that i felt so restless that I cried while talking to mama Of course i ensured that she does not notice.I dont know why... i felt so... tired... And there were soooo many occassions that i lost patience to my children. And felt totally guilty after that... This travelling KL-Johor back and forth really tested my patience and my strength. But i know Allah has the best plan for us.

Tomorrow i will be officially transferred back to KL. It has been kinda mixed feeling inside me. Am totally greatful that my request has officially been granted, just the way that i planned. Am sad that i had to go back without completing my work here... But there will be times in your life that you just need to let go. Prioritize. For me, my children come first no matter what. I will be here in Johor once in a while to complete my job and see completion of the FPSO. O, Allah, please let it be easy for the team... let us complete our responsibilities here fast and safe...

Shopping...

I love shopping for clothes.. especially tops... rambang mata kalau masuk kedai2 yang ada ops banyak2 kaler... due to badan yang dah mengembang, it is quite hard for me to find tops yang menepati citarasa dan mengikut kesesuaian badan.. haihh.. rindu badan masa anak dara where i dont have that much problem to find the tops that i like... but at that time.. masa student, takde duit la pulak.. ni dah keja, badan pulak dah tak evenly distributed.. tambah2 dah beranak pinak nih...  susah sgt nak carik baju yg cantik2....
so when i found the top that really suits me - financially and physically, i always buy the same design in all colours... haha...

So imagine this.. you were in a shopping complex, you find the top that you really like, and you put it into your shooping cart... and you go around trying to look for some other option.. suddenly, a woman grabbed the one you had in the shopping cart, and straight away went to the cashier, paid for it and went away... terbuntang2 mata aku... well, that what usually happen when i shop online.. i dont know about others. but it happened to me few times when i shop online...  yesterday, i was trying to buy this from poplook...

Well, last week i did bought the same one in navy and electric blue... i was so in love with it.. viscose material, besar dan selesa, and it cost only RM59... but yesterday, they added this new teal colour in their stock.. aaa... ku suda jatuh cinta lagi dgn kaler ni.. See i told ya..  i am trying to have those in all colours... haha.. i put it in my cart, suddenly when i tried to pay, failed, and when i tried again, it went out of stock... argghh...  memang ada la yg dah rembat and pergi bayar dulu.... hmm.. thinking positive, it saved me RM59... takpe lah...

So lesson learnt, kalau dah suke, amik, & bayar saje... haha...

Hujan.
Hujan sepanjang pagi....
lunch time makan depan pc aje.. since encik hubby dah takde kat johor, dah tak rajin nak keluar makan lunch time. kalau dah bosan sangat duduk opis, akan drive balik rumah je.. the beauty of having office 5 minutes drive from home.
Last weekend i went back to DK... 1st time driving back alone, after DH was transferred permanently back to HQ in KL.... sighhh..
What to do.. demi mencarik rezeki dan bersuap2 nasik, kuteruskan jua hidup kat sini.. Alhamdulillah anak2 masih kat sini.. kalau tak, memang meraung jugak... apparently i have placed my request to be transferred back to KL to my dearest PM and SGM... and what they say was "we'll look into it..."  Jawapan selamat which did not managed to convince me after all... Lets just pray.. Doa aje lah.. and follow up.
In the mean time, just seize the moment while the kids are still here. Worst case, i will still be here when they start schooling next year, and i will go back on weekend basis... susah? memang susah.. tapi i have seen other families worst than our case...
Allah dah janji... Dalam setiap kesusahan, ada kemudahan... 2 kali ayat yang sama diulang... Takkan kita tak yakin lagi, kan? ayat ni memang sgt2 menyejukkan hati.... With every hardship, there will be ease.... Indeed, with hardship there will be ease....

So, how was your weekend? We had a short and sweet one... We cleaned my house in Bukit Serdang ready for our buyer to move in... Our new sofa arrived (lupa tangkap gambar) a simple one aje..., we had 2 new units of air cond installed  (biase2 aje... takyah gambar pun takpe), auto gate complete installation - i have insisted on auto gate coz i know there is safety issue involve here... And one litle baking project for the girls... Wow... quite an effective weekend, eh... hehe.. and yeah... we managed to have a lil window shopping at Empire...window shopping saje... our new home is just about 15 minutes (normal traffic) to Empire Shopping Mall... hehe... suke suke.... No wonder mokcik penat on Monday.. its not because of the Monday blues... But totally exhausted after another 4 hours drive from KL to JB.

 

 

Ini le yang akan terjadi kalau tengah baking... ni kira ok lagi ni... So, 2 weeks in a row we baked butter cake.. haha.. not bad eh? to me, its totally a success.. considering badan yang sangat penat ulang alik KL-JB.. tapi butter cake aje.. ok lah for nomad like us... tak sempat nak tengok resepi yang fancy2.. so, simple butter cake is all.... itu yang laku pun... cepat aje licin.. panas2, ngan kopi starbuck... best2...

 

The best part... harum semerbak seluruh rumah bila kek tengah bakar.... yg kecik 2 bijik tu sikenet2 ni punye... i took their own small ikea baking pan for their portion.. apparently, memang macam baking pan betul... hehe.. jadik je...

aaah... berangan bila my nordic ware bundt pan mummy nak arrive nih.... nnt kek akan swirl2 dan cantik bila dibakar... hehehe... satu menda yg encik hubby tak paham... dia kata sama je ngan baking pan yg ada jual kat kedai kek sini.... hisssshhh.. mana ada samaaaa.....
